While Twilight Comes by Gwynne Forster
This title was recommended by a library patron who keeps ME on my toes because she goes through audio books like I do good chocolate.
This is the story of Marge Hairston, a businesswoman who gained notoriety by building one of the most successful newspapers in Woodmore. Following the death of her husband, Marge is responsible for raising their three young children and the newspaper. Marge receives serious medical news that changes her life as she has known it and she is forced to retire. Now her children must carry on the legacy and the newspaper their parents started. Will they step help to support their mother or stay consumed in their own lives?
brothers (& me) by Donna Britt
Came across this title while reading the January 2012 issue of Essence magazine.
Donna Britt has always been surrounded by men-her father, three brothers, two husbands, three sons, countless friends. She learned to give to them at an early age. brothers (and me) examines Britt's life through her relationships with men-resulting in a tender, funny and heartbreaking exploration of universal issues of gender and race. (from Goodreads)
Will share some thoughts once read.

Any resolutions for 2012?
I haven't done resolutions for several years, which may also explain why I haven't felt productive since I stopped writing down goals/resolutions. So this year I am going to write down my goals and see how I do throughout and at the end of the year. Here's mine:
*Participate in the Financial Fitness Challenge featured in January issue of
I'm certain that THIS will be the year that I get serious about getting my financial house in order because I love a good challenge. I want to retire before 65:-)
*Present at a librarian conference or publish an article in journal read by librarians and others with an interest in libraries and literature.
*READ READ READ!!! I am a librarian so I need to participate in my career to the fullest extent. Reading is what librarians do all day, right?;-)
*Post to this blog at least once a week
